The Pearl 8110 is bundled with navigation and mapping applications such as AT&T Navigator, which provides turn by turn voice and on screen directions with colorful 3D moving maps that can be used in vehicles or while walking. Also it alerts users about traffic slowdowns and incidents along their programmed travel route, so users can choose an alternative route.

The Blackberry Pearl 8110 is equipped with BlackBerry e-mail and messaging capabilities, such as RIM Sure Type QWERTY keyboard system for easy typing and phone dialing enhanced with word completion and a spell checker with a user customized dictionary. Moreover, the new Smartphone will enable users to wirelessly download YellowPages.COM Mobile application directly from an icon on the Smartphone.

This phone can play for you the music and video in various compressed formats. It uses streaming media based on the MPEG4 and H.263 technology. The media player that is used is very user friendly. All the other menus and navigations are designed very well and in an ease of use manner. The internal speaker quality of this phone is not so impressive. The speaker independent voice dialing works well.

As a messaging device:

RIM Blackberry Pearl 8110 sports almost all the communication features that you would be expecting. It includes facilities for mailing, SMS, MMS, camera, video, GPS and of course the calling facility. You may have a great time communicating, once you get used to all these facilities. The on board GPS functionality is the feature that shows 8110 unique from the other Pearl models as this can be used as a full fledged navigational device.

Memory:

This blackberry phone has the micro SD card slot which will be a very useful one, in case you need to use the video recording function of 8110. RIM has equipped 8120 with 64mb of memory which is a good amount of memory for your day to day usage.
